With the purpose of increasing the participation of Asian companies in the Chilean fair, FIDAE authorities arrived to Zhuhai, at the south of the country.
A delegation of the International Air & Space Fair, FIDAE, headed by its CEO, Colonel Jaime Reyes, participated in the XI edition of Airshow China performed in Zhuhai from November 1 to 6.
The purpose of the attendance of the Chilean delegation was to fidelize and look for new exhibitors, thus expanding the business opportunities of its participants, by providing a unique commercial experience in Latin America, which has been consolidated in its almost 40 years of track record.
In the opportunity, it was ratified the participation in FIDAE 2018 of the following companies: CETC from China; EPAC, Rosoboronexport and UAC (United Aircraft Corporation) from Russia, along with GIFAS, Thales, Airbus and Safran from France, meanwhile there was an advance in the negotiations with the companies UVS from China and NAG (Netherlands Aerospace Group) from The Netherlands. With the FIDAE delegation was the Ambassador of Chile in China, Mr. Jorge Heine and the Military and Air Attaché in that country, Colonel Manuel Llanca, who visited the fair and met different companies.
“To participate in a fair like Airshow China, it is very important for us, due to the level and quantity of companies, who have a great potential for being part of FIDAE. Few weeks ago, we were in Japan, and now in China, looking for strengthening the Asian presence in FIDAE, thus generating more and better business opportunities for our exhibitors, visitors and trade delegations” stressed Colonel Reyes.
Airshow China 2016 had as main attraction the presentation of the J-20 aircraft, fifth generation fighter developed by CAIC (Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation), which turns China into the third country after USA and Russia equipped with so advanced aircraft, almost undetectable by conventional radars, and using capabilities only compared with the F22 Raptor of the US Air Force.
Another Chinese military aircraft that highlighted was the Y-20, a military transport aircraft able to carry up to 200 tons, depending on the configuration. It was also launched in Zhuhai the J-10B fighter, a new version of the classic J-10, the bomber H-6K and the early warning and airborne control KJ-500 aircraft. The Chinese exhibition also included a section of land weapons with combat vehicles, amphibious vehicles and other armaments manufactured by China South and NORINCO, this last had a highlighted participation in the past edition of FIDAE.
