FAdeA provides design, development, upgrade and certification services in the engineering arena, while in manufacturing it also stands out for its high-speed and low-speed CNC machining equipment. At FIDAE 2022, it will be displaying its latest product innovations and technological breakthroughs to the aeronautical industry customers.

FAdeA has broad experience in aircraft design and manufacture, and is currently a supplier for the KC-390 EMBRAER program, producing six of the main sets.

As one of the few Lockheed Martin approved service centers for C-130 Hercules maintenance, the presence of FAdeA comes as an excellent opportunity for visitors to see and learn about its military and commercial MRO capabilities available for C-130 Hercules and other types of aircraft.

Crowning its participation at FIDAE 2022, FAdeA will showcase the IA-63 Pampa III Block II, a recently introduced advanced jet trainer for pilots that allows for sensor and armament drills in both air-to-air combat and air-to-ground missions.

The participation of Fábrica Argentina de Aviones in the longest standing and most recognized Air, Space, Defense and Security Show in Latin America confirms the solidification of this Chilean exhibition as the most outstanding hub in the Region for companies to share their latest developments with visitors from different parts of the world.

Lieutenant General Jean Pierre Desgroux Ycaza, Logistics Command Commander and FIDAE President, inspected the Fair this Monday March 28^th by the facade of the Administrative Building of the International Air and Space Fair, FIDAE, one week before the beginning of the 22^nd edition of this exhibition, to check progress and to fine tune any final details of the longest standing and most recognized Air, Space, Defense and Security Exhibition in Latin America.

Similarly, during the general formation line and after the Chilean flag hoisting ceremony, General Desgroux shared a few words with all the staff currently working for FIDAE, stating that “this event is organized by the Air Force, which is characterized for contributing to national development,” also pointing out that its implementation means a true contribution to the country.

“This year the fair will be completely different compared to previous versions, considering that FIDAE 2020 had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. Despite the difficulties we have faced, nearly 400 exhibitors and 40 countries have already confirmed their participation, which reflects how important FIDAE has become worldwide and how trustworthy it is for those who gather together for six days around this event,” he added.


In light of the meaningful scope of FIDAE, General Desgroux encouraged everyone to step up efforts and to continue doing a job of excellence, so the Chilean Air Force, through FIDAE, can remain perceived as a world-class event, providing status to the Institution and to Chile.

The International Air and Space Fair will be held from April 5^th to 10^th on the north side of the Arturo Merino Benitez Airport, in Santiago, Chile.

João Bosco Costa Junior, Chief Commercial Officer, announced the aircraft to be displayed at FIDAE 2022, including KC-390, and A-29 Super Tucano, in addition to a wide range of solutions for the air, land, sea, space, and cyberspace domains.

The C-390 Millenium roles and its KC-390 refueling variant, include a multi-role transport vehicle for the 21^st-century typically deployed during humanitarian emergencies caused by natural disasters. The A29 Super Tucano is used in many missions, including light attack, surveillance, air-to-air interception, and counter-insurgency. Besides, it is an advanced trainer for its capacity to simulate combat missions using its unique platform for light attack, armed reconnaissance, close air support, and advanced training.

With leadership in more than 60 countries, it is the defense branch of Embraer, an air and space corporation that designs, develops, and manufactures aircraft and systems for the civil-commercial aviation and defense markets. Today, it is responsible for the Brazilian Army’s SISFRON (Integrated Border Monitoring System), one of the largest border surveillance projects being implemented on the planet that will soon be on the north side of the Arturo Merino Benítez Airport in Santiago, Chile, for FIDAE 2022, displaying state-of-the-art innovation during the main business platform in the region.

With over 70 years of history, this aerobatic team performs their shows on the A-29 Super Tucano. Because it is an advanced training turbo propeller aircraft that features the latest advancements in avionics, manufactured by Embraer, it represents the beginning of a new era characterized by innovation and progress.

“Resuming air demonstrations in Brazil and participating in such an important international fair like FIDAE in Chile, means beginning our 70th year accomplishing the Smoke Squad’s mission, that is, promote FAB among our people and strengthen relationships with our neighbors. Presentations in the national territory and experience exchanges with Squads from other countries are of utmost importance for FAB and Fumaça”, pointed out Daniel García Pereira, Liutenant Colonel of the Fumaça Squad on their website.

The Squad has 55 high-performance aerobatics that in 2006 earned them the world record in inverted flight with 12 planes.

Alongside more than 3,900 demonstrations in Brazil and other countries, the Fumaça Squad, formed by 14 highly trained and qualified pilots, have performed in Germany, Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, Ecuador, United States, France, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, England, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Surinam, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

For badges, you must enter FIDAE’s website www.fidae.cl, switch to English, and click on the News menu to submit your application. If it meets our requirements, it will be processed by FIDAE’s Press Management.

It should be noted that each attending professional should bring their printed registration, to be presented at the entrance gate, along with their Chilean pass for vaccinated and identification.

The Aerospace, Defense and Security Exhibition with the longest history and recognition in Latin America, FIDAE 2022 will have thematic Pavilions, among which the Chile Pavilion stands out, which will be configured in Hall E and will have more than 300 m².
