With more than twelve years of experience, the Fundación Chile - España (FCE) has worked to promote relations between both countries. To do so, the foundation has developed a series of activities with the purpose of identifying economic sectors conducive to investment and business, in addition to promoting research, scientific cooperation, entrepreneurship, innovation and institutional exchange. This instance leads FCE to participate for the fourth time in FIDAE, with a business delegation whose interests will be mainly focused on the areas of Defense, Civil and Commercial Aviation, Homeland Security, Aircraft Maintenance, Airport Equipment and Services, Drones, and Space Technology.
During the exhibition, the companies that are part of the business delegation will learn about the work that defense and aerospace companies do. In addition, they will learn about possible investment opportunities in the region, as well as making commercial agreements, creating synergies that will result in investment, exports, manufacture, or sale of their products and services.
On FIDAE 2024, FCE will carry out promotional activities so that the Spanish companies can publicize their own brand, as well as its services or products. This will enable them to actively participate in the networking that will take place, among other commercial activities.
The FCE business delegation has the support and collaboration of the Spanish Association of Technology Companies in Defense, Security, Aeronautics and Space (TEDAE by its acronym in Spanish), the Grupo Metalia, Andalucía Aerospace, Hegan Basque Aerospace Cluster, the Galician Aeronautical Consortium and the Defense Industry Cluster, as well as the media partners Infodefensa and Grupo Edefa.
It’s interesting to note that in 2023, the Fundación Chile – España along with the Spanish Space Agency (AEE by its acronym in Spanish) organized the 5th Chile-Spain Aerospace Forum "Space: a new way of public-private collaboration", an event which counted with the collaboration of FIDAE, the Chilean Air Force (FACH), the Chilean Space Association (ACHIDE), the Chilean National Aeronautics Company (ENAER) and TEDAE. This took place during the EU Space Week in Seville, within the framework of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
