FIDAE 2022 CEO IS PROMOTED TO THE RANK OF COLONEL OF THE CHILEAN AIR FORCE

The Commander in Chief of the Chilean Air Force led this ceremony.

On Wednesday, December 16th, the International Air and Space Fair CEO, Francisco Ramírez, was promoted to the rank of colonel of the Chilean Air Force, during a ceremony led by the Commander in Chief of that Institution, General Arturo Merino.

During most of his career, Colonel Ramírez was posted to the V Air Brigade, where he served at the N°7 Aviation Group and the N°8 Aviation Group as an instructor, mission operative commander, and test pilot, with over a thousand flight hours in the F-16 aircraft. Starting from 2010, he oversaw the training and evaluation of combat crews, serving as Commander of the N° 7 Aviation Group’s Operations Squad.

Additionally, and before his appointment as FIDAE CEO, he was the Air Attaché to the Chilean President, His Excellency Sebastián Piñera, between 2018 and 2019.

Hence, continuing with the tradition, FIDAE 2022 will be led by a Colonel as CEO during the execution of the oldest and most recognized exhibition in the region – which will be held from April 5th to 10th, 2022 – strengthening the commitment of the Organization to the exhibitors.

It is relevant to mention that the promotion ceremony, that took place at Quinchamali Country Club, was organized following all necessary sanitary measures and it was streamed on digital platforms for family members.
