On Monday, March 22nd, an online seminar to commemorate the 91st Anniversary of the Chilean Air Force took place, led by the Chilean Ambassador in Spain, Roberto Ampuero, and moderated by the Air Attaché, Colonel Alfredo Larenas Dintrans, joined by civil and military authorities.
During the event, the new Chilean National Space System was highlighted, along with the opportunities that offer to the industry, and where the International Air and Space Fair plays a key role as a meeting point for the involved organizations, particularly in the Space Summit, which will take place within the framework of the exhibition, where the different stages through the coming years will be discussed, such as the incorporation of new satellites, the construction of a National Space Center, including a Satellite and Space Technology Development Laboratory, a mission control center and satellite ground stations, among other projects.
Additionally, ProChile – Spain Director, Sebastián Pillado, highlighted the characteristics that make Chile an attractive investment pole, as well as its constant economic leadership and talented professionals.
FIDAE 2022 CEO, Colonel Francisco Ramírez, talked about the twentieth-second edition of the International Air and Space Fair, emphasizing that for the exhibitors, particularly for the Spanish industry, the event represents a focal point and offers possibilities of creating alliances and establishing new business with the Latin American market due to the presence of different official delegations, including regional State Ministers, Commanders in Chief of the Armed Forces, and Government agencies and authorities.
Furthermore, Colonel Ramírez expressed his gratitude for the historical participation of the Spanish companies in FIDAE, such as the Fundación Chile-España and TEDAE, which has confirmed participation in the Spanish pavilion once again as indicated by the company’s president, Ricardo Martí.
The twentieth-second edition of the International Air and Space Fair will take place from April 5th to 10th, 2022, at the northern side of the Arturo Merino Benitez Airport, in Santiago, Chile.
