THE A220 LANDS AT FIDAE FOR ITS FIRST VISIT TO SOUTH AMERICA
With the arrival of the Airbus 220 for the first time in South America on Saturday, April 2nd, FIDAE welcomes the giant of commercial and military aircraft design and manufacture, Airbus Aerospace & Military. This arrival sets the beginning of the participation of the European company and consolidates the International Air and Space Fair as the gateway to the regional market.
Airbus Aerospace & Military chose the longest standing and most recognized exhibition in Latin America to premiere the newest aircraft in its portfolio, jointly with Swiss Air International Air Lines.
It is worth mentioning its performance, being the only aircraft specially designed for the 100-150 seat market that includes state-of-the-art aerodynamics, the Pratt & Whitney PW1500G geared turbofan engine. This allows for a 50% reduction in noise footprint, and up to 25% lower fuel consumption and up to 25% lower CO2 emissions in comparison with previous generation aircraft.
Thus, Airbus strengthens its already consolidated ties with Latin America, placing its commitment and trust in the 22nd International Air and Space Fair, FIDAE 2022.
